After three days of attempting to drill a single borehole near San Vicente, El Salvador, the Living Water team came up empty. Down in spirits, but strong in faith, the Living Water El Salvador staff decided that the location of the well had to be moved. Would surveying another location need to be done? How long would that take? How would we guarantee that water would be present in a new location? Enter a man named Gregorio, owner of the adjacent property.
Up to date with the situation next door and the failed attempts to find water, he waved the Living Water head driller over to his property. With bowed heads and serious faces, the two men had a conversation. It was soon announced that Gregorio would donate a portion of his land to the community, where a clean water well could be drilled. There are a number of valuable things that Gregorio could have used his land for, yet in a matter of minutes, he decided that its best and highest use was a water well to provide safe water for his community. – Thank you Gregorio!
Water provision is the cornerstone of Living Water’s work in every country they operate in. Access to water is more than just building a well. It’s about installing the right systems, and helping whole communities, even regions, have safe access to a reliable water source. These water systems significantly improve the lives of the people who live there. – Liz Dawes, Founder of the Dawes Team
“Born and raised in Honduras, I have seen first hand the challenges facing people in developing countries. Many of them must spend most of their day securing food and clean water for their family. Having the simple gift of clean, running water, allows people to focus on reaching their full potential. I’ve seen the transforming power this basic utility has in a community and we have the power to make this happen…” – Liz Dawes
According to the latest housing data by Florida Realtors for September 2019, Florida’s housing market reported more closed sales, higher median prices and increased pending inventory compared to a year ago. Sales of single-family homes statewide totaled 23,510 last month, up 11.5% from September 2018.
“Mortgage rates that remain historically low and strong economic trends continue to help fuel Florida’s housing market,” said 2019 Florida Realtors President Eric Sain. “In another positive sign, pending inventory for existing single-family homes was up 1.7% year-over-year, while pending inventory for existing condo-townhouse properties was up 0.9%.
“Staying on top of trends in local housing markets can be challenging for buyers and sellers – turning to a [qualified] local Realtor for expert guidance can ease stress and help with peace of mind.” – By Michael Gerrity World Property Journal
Fort Lauderdale is booming with development. It’s become a city of choice for savvy real estate investors, both commercial and residential. “We have a relaxed coastal environment, beautiful beachfront and a strong commerce center with 7.5 million of class A office space in our downtown,” notes Jenni Morejon, executive director of Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority (DDA). “We have significant luxury development both in residential and hospitality underway. The residential component has a high level of amenities, service and finishes in beautiful ocean front locations. Fort Lauderdale has always been compared to Miami Beach, but now, [Miami] values in terms of price per square foot is at an all-time high. From 1990 to 2010, the annual difference in price per square footage between these two destinations was roughly 25%. In May 2016, this difference jumped to 261% due to the slew of new inventory. This means that a buyer can get the same ocean views, amenities, finishes and services in Fort Lauderdale but at almost half the price. – By Ellen Paris, Forbes Magazine

“I have dealt with good realtors in the past but Liz and her team take service and expertise to the highest level. I cannot express how happy we are with the outcome of our sale! Liz made detailed suggestions on what we needed to do in order to be successful in the selling process. She and her team were involved in the actual process of getting our property ready to show. Everything was planned so well and her strategy yielded real results. Within hours of the first open house, we received multiple offers over the asking price. Their comprehensive approach is very unique and that’s how we achieved the goals we desired. It was as if she was selling her own house instead of a client’s house. I highly recommend Liz and her team for all of your real estate needs.
